 On this job, it was a cold, wet, dreary day and we decided to use the Low Moisture Cleaning process for the carpets to keep the doors shut and the heat inside. 
 These carpets cleaned up really well as you can see in the picture below but they also were dry by the time we left the job.
No Open Doors, No Reappearing Spots (because of the quick dry times), No Loud Equipment or Tripping Hazards With Vacuum Hoses.
As with any carpet cleaning the most crucial and often overlooked part of the process begins with vacuuming (dry soil removal). Close to 1 hour was spent on this job vacuuming alone. First we used a commercial vacuum on all of the carpeting (even under the furniture) followed with a backpack vacuum to detail all edges, door jambs and under desks. A high quality, Eco-Friendly encapsulation cleaner is then applied and allowed to dwell. This step is followed with either a brush or fiber pad used to agitate the cleaner into the fibers of the carpeting. After agitation is completed then the extraction process begins with either a micro-fiber or cotton pad to absorb the suspended soils. The carpets are left clean and nearly dry (depending on the amount of cleaner used due to the soil load) at this point with one added bonus to the customer, the cleaning solution is polymer based which also imparts a anti-resoiling property to the fiber.

On this job in Belforest, Alabama we first started with a test area on the tile & grout to determine what cleaning solution to use and at what strength. After testing we laid down a tarp, neoprene runners, padded blankets and wall protectors to keep from damaging the owners wood floors and trim. Our equipment was then placed on the tarped area . In the 3rd photo the cleaning solution was applied with a mop to keep it from splashing on the walls and appliances and machine with a special scrub head was used to get deep into the cracks and crevices of the floor. You can see the soils that are suspended in the cleaning solution. Air movers are installed after cleaning to speed dry the floor. The rest of the pictures show the progression of the floor during the drying process and the grout really starting brighten up.

These pictures below are of a Low Moisture carpet cleaning in Daphne, Alabama. It was a foggy, rainy day with high humidity. The temperatures were in the lower 70's, so, it wasn't cold enough for the heat but it also wasn't hot enough for the A/C to run either. This causes stagnant air in a home with slow drying times with the hot water extraction process, which also introduces more moisture into the home. I opted for the VLM process and the rug and carpet were dry in about 1 hour and turned out looking great.

Got a call from Cintas to give a bid on cleaning some tile & grout at a gas station that a customer bought and was remodeling for their grand opening. These picture's show the difference being made during the cleaning. Granted this tile was old and had a lot of wear on it, it cleaned up fairly well. We used an enzyme based cleaner on this job due to the grease and oils present. In the pictures you can see the suspended soils and the areas where it has been flushed away.

While cleaning some carpeting the other day on the 11th floor of the Loma Alta Towers, I snapped these pictures overlooking Mobile Bay, I-10 headed into Mobile and the Bass Pro Shop area. A different view than most of us are accustom to. Excuse the glare on some of the photos from the reflection of the windows. 

Grout is a very porous material making it a  time consuming and difficult task, especially if it is a DIY project. Being that it is porous makes it not only a great place for soils to accumulate but also mold, mildew, bacteria and odors.
Sealing your grout will protect it from these contaminants and help make the task of cleaning it easier not mention that it also helps from being stained by certain spills.

Should all grout be sealed? No. Only cement-based grout should be sealed. Synthetic grouts, such as Epoxy and Urethane don't need to be sealed neither does grout that has been recolored or color sealed.

How often should I have my Grout Sealed? Depends on the amount of traffic and the maintenance. Under high traffic conditions sealer should be reapplied yearly along with a professional cleaning. Under normal conditions, about every 3 years for the simple fact that these sealers break down over time.

This homeowner had been using over-the-counter type products and steam mops to clean her tile floors only to face rapid resoiling. It was probably a combination of things that plagued her efforts but she decided to give us a call to handle this problem for her.
We vacuumed the floors to remove dry particle soil and dust from the surface, grout and crevices, followed by applying a cleaner (already pretested to ensure best results) to liquify to soils, power scrubbed the tile and grout to work the cleaner into all of the nooks and crannies for the best possible outcome and then rinsed with high pressure and heat from our truck-mounted unit to flush and remove all of the soil. We then force dried all of the areas and applied a sealer to the grout.
