On this particular job in Fairhope, AL., while vacuuming the carpets, before cleaning, I kept noticing a lot of dark stains. Asked the homeowner if she knew what they were and she replied, My dog chewed up several ink pens. These stains were throughout the bedroom, living room and even on the sofa. Here are a few photos of before and after cleaning and a short video of me pre-treating the spots before cleaning in the bedroom. If you have this misfortune PLEASE call us before you attempt to clean it yourself. When trying to spot clean this yourself probably one of two things are going to happen: 1) You will cause the ink to spread from a little spot to a HUGE one 2) You will permanently set the stain with little to no hope of removal My name is Larry Henson and I'm the Owner/Operator of Absolutely Kleen in Daphne, AL. . Give me a call and I will personally remove your ink stains. 251-626-6227 www.absolutelykleener.com The difference between a spot and a stain. A spot add substance to carpet, such as a food spill or mud tracked in. A stain is something that either adds color or hue to the fiber or takes the color away. Kool-Aid would be considered a color added stain and bleach spilled on carpeting would remove the therefore it's called a bleach stain. In the end I was able to remove all of the ink stains, even the one on the sofa.
